I am a life-long resident of Brampton with a wonderful son, and a M.Sc. in Biostatistics from the University of Toronto. In June 2012, I quit my job as a statistician for cancer researchers at Princess Margaret Hospital to work from home on a consulting basis and devote more time towards safe drinking water for Peel Region. [Why oppose artificial water fluoridation?]
Shortly after I quit my job at PMH, an acquaintance randomly gave me a second-hand book called The Spirit of Reiki. This was a life-changing event for me. The book resonated with some long-forgotten part of me, and I sensed that Reiki was something I was meant to learn more about. I began my training with Lianne Graham at Brampton’s Breakthrough Centre in November, 2012, and completed my master level, also with Lianne, in February 2014.
Learning Reiki changed everything for me. It vastly accelerated the spiritual awakening that had just barely begun and had me rather bewildered up to that point. Receiving Reiki treatments from both myself and others helped me to begin releasing, layer by layer, long-held toxic patterns and open up to new realms of life. This is an on-going process for me, just like everyone else!
That I am now able to offer treatments and training to my local community is in large part thanks to the healing effect Reiki has had on my own heart, body and mind.
In recent years I have come to realize that there are so many simple, non-toxic and inexpensive ways to improve our health and well-being that the medical profession, for the most part, knows nothing about and/or outright vilifies. We can take comfort and satisfaction in learning about them and passing information on to others.
Reiki in particular has been one of my greatest sources of excitement and optimism for the health of humans, our fellow creatures and our planet.
Giving and teaching Reiki to others is now part of my mission. I have seen it’s wonderful effects in action and want to share it with as many people as possible.
My own journey with Reiki continues to unfold, and I am excited to share it with you
